Introduction to Music
I have spoken with each of you and divided you into groups for your unit activity, which is writing music notes for one song, the notes should include minimum three instruments. More details are listed in our learning management system. You must complete this module within one week. Feel free to post any questions you have on the discussion forum! Remember to submit your homework on time.

- Search the web using the safe search skills we learned at the beginning of the school year to get a general overview how songs are to be written.
- Read from page 15-45 from our textbook and complete the chapter review exercises as a self-check of learning. Please turn
your exercises into the dropbox.
- Watch the digital slideshow that was sent to you by email last week.
- Take the module quiz, which can be found in our learning management system, which will be automatically graded.
- In the module discussion forum, please make sure you discuss "The experience of writing notes on a paper and
implementing them using instruments". Your forum participation will be graded using our discussion forum rubric.
- Arrange for a group meeting using Google Hangouts (http://www.google.com/hangouts/).
- Choose a group leader.
- Set working schedule, timelines, and responsibilities for each group member, and share them on a Google Doc, so that
everyone can have access to it.
